Beginner’s Course

Our next course is starting on Saturday, 15th June 2019, 12:00-15:00. Our courses consist of four 3-hour sessions and aims to provide you with a basic understanding of shooting techniques and the disciplines for shooting in safety and with relative accuracy. We will also introduce you to different bow types and a little of the history of this ancient art. During each session you will be supported and guided by Archery GB qualified coaches and advanced archers. We provide you with all the necessary archery equipment that you will require to successfully complete the course. For full details, including pricing and to book tickets, visit our EventBrite page.

Still unsure?  Why not attend our free have-a-go session (details below), then decide whether to sign up for the Beginner’s Course.

Free Have-a-Go Sessions

A few times throughout the year we run free have-a-go sessions which allows you to give archery a go without committing to a full beginner’s course. Our next have-a-go session is on Sunday, 19th May 2019, starting at 10:00 and closing at 13:00. It takes place on the fields at Benfield School, Benfield Road, Newcastle, NE6 4NU (see the map below). All equipment is provided and there will also be an Arrows Kit available for the younger attendees who are not ready for a full size bow (e.g. 5-7 year olds).
